International Workboat Show 2017 @ Morial Convention Center
Nov 29 – Dec 1 all-day

Work Smarter. Don’t recreate the hull.

This December, commercial mariners from around the world will unite once again in New Orleans for the International WorkBoat Show.

Each year, over 10,000 people return to network, discover new products, and learn about evolving issues affecting the industry – from expert keynote speakers, innovative exhibitors, and most importantly, each other. For many of us, this year has been a time to regroup, reassess, and re-imagine what the future might hold. And because the economic forecast is not yet clear, every bit of support, every best practice, every tool, every efficiency, every bit of wisdom matters.

At The International WorkBoat Show, you’ll find thousands of solutions, strategies, technologies, and ideas to give your business an edge in 2017 and beyond. And you’ll find loyal exhibitors offering demos, special presentations, partnerships and deals to help you power through these turbulent times.

At the WorkBoat Annual Conference, attendees and exhibitors come together for three days of commercial marine-specific peer-to-peer education, professional development, and engaged problem solving.

Conference sessions and workshops are produced by the same team that brings you WorkBoat Magazine and You’ll hear and discuss real case studies, best practices, and strategies from and with people who live, breathe, and work every day in the commercial marine industry. People you may already work with. People who truly understand your challenges, and who might just have an answer you’ve been seeking. Or perhaps you have theirs.

Topics include:
• Technical training
• Regulatory updates
• Business practices
• Emerging issues

The 2017 Program details will be available in the late Spring of 2017!

The conference runs Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday alongside the International WorkBoat Show, with breaks in between sessions to explore the exhibit hall, catch up with colleagues, check your email, or grab a quick bite to eat.

MVTTC is very excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual golf tournament this year at the new Bayou Oaks South Course at City Park.  The golf tournament will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 and will begin at 9:00 a.m., registration to begin at 8:00 a.m.  We believe that this location will offer a challenge for golfers and a chance to try one of New Orleans newest and most popular courses.  The tournament will take place rain or shine.

City Park is rich in golf history dating back to the construction of the first 9-holes in 1902. The Park had four courses at its peak, including the number one course which hosted the New Orleans Open 13 times from 1938-1962. Greats of the game including Nicklaus, Palmer, Hogan, and Sarazen have walked the fairways of City Park.

Hurricane Katrina left City Park decimated and only the North Course reopened after the storm. On April 21, 2017, the new South Course opened.

The South Course is a result of a partnership between the Bayou District Foundation (BDF) and City Park, who teamed up with Rees Jones to design a world-class course. Through this partnership with City Park, BDF will share in the net profit from golf operations, which will support BDF’s education and community programs that aim to break the cycle of poverty.

17th Annual Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition @ Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center
Mar 13 – Mar 15 all-day

Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition is scheduled for March 13-15, 2018 in Galveston, Texas at the Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center and is hosted by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. As our industry changes, the sharing of knowledge and collective experiences becomes more and more crucial to improving the quality, safety, and economics of the subsea tieback industry.

Subsea Tieback’s firm foundation is its conference program. The audience is comprised of field supervisors and operations planning personnel, as well as engineering staff and management. The content addresses new operational issues, challenges, and solutions associated with global deepwater subsea operations. Dialog among strategic decision makers is facilitated through focused presentations, extended question and answer sessions, and networking. This exchange of knowledge represents experiences, applications, and current, real-world project examples.

There is not a “call for abstracts” for this event. The conference advisory board will once again solicit a number of key presentations by industry leaders. Papers are not required. As in the past, only by participating in this conference will you be able to receive its benefits, as proceedings will not be published and no Press is ever allowed in the conference area. This is truly a closed forum with open discussion, where the information shared inside the conference room stays inside the conference room. We hope you will join us in Galveston, TX for the 2018 Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition.
